If you haven’t heard, Mississippi is all the craze lately ;). numerous people have told me about their love for the Mississippi roast that we’ve also tried our hand using similar ingredients with other sorts of protein and man oh man did it not disappoint.
Chicken thighs were made for this dish. We love throwing boneless, skinless chicken thighs in our slow cooker because they nearly always cook up so nicely. I love that this recipe works well with any quite meat, like beef, chicken or pork. Just place all of the ingredients within the slow cooker, set it on low and are available home to a delicious meal! they need the right amount of fat to cook up nicely but not make the dish whatever it’s going to be too greasy.
WHICH TYPE CHICKEN SHOULD I USE?
Chicken thighs are often a really affordable option too. And with using the chicken thighs she also cuts the butter in half. prefer using frozen chicken breasts with these all-day recipes. Again, it’s cheaper than fresh chicken breasts and that they delay rather well to the longer cooking time. Plus, I seem to always have them in my freezer. They cook up great with none quite thawing in the least.
3 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 packet juicy gravy mix
1 packet ranch dressing mix
1/2 cup salted butter (1 stick)
6 peperoncini peppers
Place chicken within the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker.
Sprinkle gravy and ranch mixes on top.
Place pepperoncinis around the chicken.
If desired, pour juice around outside also.
Cook on low for 4-5 hours
Shred chicken with two forks or during a stand mixer and return to juices.
Stir in cheese until melted.
Serve on rolls, covering mashed potatoes or on its personal.
